"In my Tender Care" (2023)
|
“In my tender care” is an expanded cinema installation consisting of animatronic talking mouths in a set, a floor to ceiling projection of computer generated animations, and two additional video works presented on CRT TV screens. Originating from a screenplay, the installation seeks to give agency back to the audience by removing the chronology of a film’s timeline. Turning points and whole acts are presented simultaneously, locked in scenes that are scattered across the room. Exploring each scene will expose more of the story and they can be viewed in any order.

"When fox and rabbit say goodnight." (2021)
|
"When fox and rabbit say goodnight." is a short film following a boy on his search for love and constancy. The film appropriates the hollow animation aesthetic of early 2000s’ video games to explore the themes of neglect and grief through the limited dialogue, body language, and the depiction of characters. Negligence during the modeling, texturing, and animation stages has become the basis for the unspoken narrative and reinforces the themes. Juxtaposition of the characters’ limited ability to express themselves with their desire to do just that, presents clearly artificial depictions of humans as closely to their real counterparts.

"Fiesta" (2022 - present)
|
In 2024, “Fiesta” is an expanded cinema installation. It tells a story about a car, a criminal, a dreamer and a cynic, each of them having their role to play in the death of the protagonist.
"Fiesta", is an ongoing project, and has served as a fertile ground for developing new ideas and story telling techniques. A screenplay drives the installation. "Fiesta" goes on, until the film is made. |

Making Freedom Fly: Aviation in the Preservation of Democracy
|
"Making Freedom Fly" is a permanent exhibition at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum made up of four, state-of-the-art digital experiences. The Portrait Portals, made up of six human sized screens, is an interactive storytelling experience providing an intimate connection to real Canadians who made significant contributions during WWII. Each individual’s story is based on archival records stored in the museum's collection and their stories are told through a recreated virtual avatar representing what they would have looked like during the 1940’s. I worked as the lead animator, and was responsible for lipsyncing and cleaning up all motion capture animations.

"What does that have to do with me?"
|
"What does that have to do with me?" is a new permanent multimedia exhibition at the Marchivum in Mannheim, Germany. A collaboration between Parallel World Labs, the Marchivum, and Tatwerk/finke media, this poignant exhibition takes a deep dive into Mannheim's Nazi era and asks the following key questions: What changes when a democracy is destroyed by a dictatorship? And how does democracy succeed again afterwards? This highly interactive digital exhibition tells the history of Mannheim during the Nazi dictatorship.
I created the visuals of its water installation. |
"Voiceracers"
"Voiceracers" is a game you control with your voice. By making low tones you go left, and by making high tones you go right. You have to avoid obstacles, fly through turbo-rings and make sure you don't run out of breath. Sing, shout or hum your way to the finish line!
I work on "Voiceracers" as a game designer in the prototyping stage of its development in 2022. |
